New process water purification plant for AVEBE

25 November 2010
One year after signing of a contract between North Water and AVEBE, a new process water purification plant is in operation.
With this process water purification plant AVEBE has improved the quality of water in various processes. In addition, it has put a step towards sustainable operations: AVEBE previously used both ground and surface water for its operations. The new process plant by North Water only uses surface water. This results in a lower environmental impact and prevents dessication.

The new water purification plant by North Water has a capacity of over 600 cubic meters of water per hour and will generate approximately 3 million cubic meters of process water per year. The construction of the new process plant and associated infrastructure has a total investment of around 10 million euros.
